Rockwell Automation Korea의 OEMax브랜드 분사... RS오토메이션 설립

로크웰오토메이션 코리아의 OEMax 브랜드가 독립하여 분사했다.

새롭게 분사독립한 회사는 알에스오토메이션(Reliable & Smart Automation)으로 기존 로크웰 오토메이션 코리아의 OEMax 브랜드 전체에 대한 제품 및 생산설비, 인력, 대리점망 등을 이관받아 지난 1월 분리됐다. 신설회사의 대표이사는 OEMax총괄을 담당하던 강덕현 부사장이 대표이사에 올랐다.

이로써 로크웰 오토메이션 코리아는 지난 2002년 삼성전자 생산기술센터 제어기기사업부를 인수한 이후, 서울의 로크웰오토메이션 브랜드와 기흥의 OEMax 브랜드(기존 삼성브랜드)로 조직과 제품이 분리되어 운영되어 왔었다. OEMax 브랜드는 Rockwell 브랜드와의 차별화를 위해 국내외의 중소규모 OEM 시장을 타깃으로 했다. 

알에스오토메이션의 주요 제품으로는 기존 삼성전자 시절부터 국산화 개발로 출시되었던 PLC, 인버터, 서보, 모션, UPS, 로봇 등이 있다.
